Privacy Policy

Nevio ("we", "us", "our") is a personal skin photo diary — think of it like a weight tracker or a menstrual cycle tracker, but for the moles on your skin. It helps you build a simple visual record over time and notice changes yourself; it does not diagnose anything. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Account information: name and email address. If you sign up with a password, we store only a securely hashed version of it — never the password itself. If you use Sign in with Apple, we store Apple's stable account identifier instead of a password.
Mole photos: photos you take or upload of your skin as part of your personal photo diary, plus your own optional labels (e.g. "Left shoulder").
Analysis results: the output of our automated visual observations for each photo — general awareness notes, not a diagnosis.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

How your photos are used

Each photo you upload is sent to OpenAI's API for automated visual observation, and stored in a private cloud storage bucket (Cloudflare R2) that has no public URL — every access requires a short-lived, signed link generated on demand. Photos are never used to train our own models, and we don't share them with anyone besides the AI provider performing the observation on our behalf.

Where your data lives

Account and analysis data is stored in our own database, hosted on infrastructure we control. Photos are stored separately in Cloudflare R2. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

Notifications

Mole recheck reminders are scheduled entirely on your device — we don't use a third-party push notification service, and no reminder data is sent to or stored on our servers.

Your rights

Access: everything you've stored with us is visible directly in the app.
Deletion: you can permanently delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. This immediately and permanently erases your account, every photo, and all analysis history — this cannot be undone and we keep no backup copy afterward.
Correction: you can update your name, password, or mole labels at any time in the app.

Children's privacy

Nevio is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Nevio after a change means you accept the updated policy.
